Welcome to Branches Homestead.  My name's Dawn.  My family and I moved out of town and started our little homestead a couple/few years ago.  It's a small bit of land but we've made the most of it.   We started with a vegetable garden then got chickens, ducks, and finally Nigerian dwarf goats.  This past year we had a little vegetable garden, an herb garden, an area of fruit bushes and trees and all the animals.  We have been richly blessed to be able to have all these resources.  We get fresh eggs, goat milk, fruit, vegetables, herbs and meat. All of that is great but we are not self sufficient, and that isn't really the goal. We need others.  We do what we can and contribute to others and benefit from them.  

Not everyone can have goats to get fresh milk from. Not everyone has the time, energy or resources to make soap and other items from scratch.  But you can come here and get them from us.  Our items are not mass produced with chemicals and artificial substances. They're homemade with simple, natural ingredients.

Our first item here is goat milk soap.  The special ingredient being goat milk I thought I should introduce you to our crew who make it. Fortune is the girl pictured on the milk stand, she's our smallest goat but big on character. Cookie is her sister, pictured here with her doe Springerle.  The third girl here is Pearl. She's our only girl goat with a beard and she's a gentle girl.
